Postdoctoral position - Mass Spectrometry-based Salivary Biomarker Discovery
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the laboratory of Dr. Markus Hardt as a postdoctoral fellow to discover salivary biomarkers using mass spectrometry-based proteomics approaches in conjunction with functional studies. Research experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics, biochemistry and bioinformatics is preferred. You will be responsible for independent projects and will publish in peer-reviewed journals. You will also have the opportunity to travel to scientific meetings to present your research results.
Postdoctoral position - Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics and Cancer Pain
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the laboratory of Dr. Markus Hardt as an NIH- and DOD-funded postdoctoral fellow to study the role of proteases and peptides in cancer pain using mass spectrometry-based proteomics approaches in conjunction with functional studies. Research experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics, biochemistry and neurobiology is preferred. You will be responsible for independent projects and will publish in peer-reviewed journals. You will also have the opportunity to travel to scientific meetings to present your research results.

TENURE TRACK RESEARCH POSITION IN
Immunology and Infectious Diseases
The Forsyth Institute seeks a highly motivated applicant for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate level in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated interest in developing a program in the fields of mucosal immunology, host-bacterial interactions or autoimmune diseases at mucosal sites. Basic studies that can elucidate the molecular mechanism(s) that underlie the distinction between pathogenic and commensal bacteria are of particular interest. Applicants should have an M.D., D.M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degree(s) and a strong history of publication in high impact journals. Preference will be given to applicants with a research focus complementary to those of the existing Forsyth faculty in oral and/or systemic infectious diseases and host defense mechanisms. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will develop collaborations with staff at The Forsyth Institute, as well as at Harvard Dental and Medical schools. A demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding is highly desirable.
