Tenure Track Position for Microbiologist in the Department of Molecular Genetics
The Forsyth Institute is seeking a PhD or PhD/DDS/MD with at least 3-4 years of post-doctoral experience for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate level in the Department of Molecular Genetics (www.forsyth.org/research/centers/genetics.html). Applicants should be able to develop an independent research program in one of the following two areas as they relate to human health and infectious disease--1) Microbial physiology and ecology, 2) Microbial-host interactions. Experience in bioinformatics is desired.


The successful candidate should have a strong publication record and demonstrate the potential to obtain extramural funding. Development Officer: Corporations and Foundations
The Forsyth Institute, a Harvard affiliate, seeks a Development Officer: Corporations and Foundations to assist a growing, successful development team. Forsyth is planning exciting campaigns and initiatives to coincide with its Centennial year in 2010 and relocation to state of the art facilities in Cambridge.
Reporting to the President and CEO of the Forsyth Health Foundation, the Development Officer: Corporations and Foundations will work closely with scientific faculty to introduce groundbreaking research to potential donors and prepare grant applications to corporations and foundations for science and public health projects.
Outstanding writing skills and experience in crafting donor correspondence are important qualifications of the position, -- as well as the ability to explain major scientific initiatives in laymen’s terms, both verbally and in writing.


Bachelor’s degree required / Masters degree preferred with a minimum of five years related experience. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail. Strong MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. Tenure Track Position in Immunology

In 2010 The Forsyth Institute will embark on its second century by moving to a new research facility in Kendall Square, Cambridge. Part of our mission is to expand the faculty’s research impact at the host-oral biofilm interface by seeking PhD or PHD/DMD/MD applicants for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Member of the Staff position in the Department of Immunology at Forsyth. This position, supported under the P30 mechanism, is designed to attract appropriately trained postdoctoral fellows or junior investigators (no previous tenure track appointment) to explore one or more of the following research areas: (1) interplay of innate / adaptive immune systems and bioflims, possibly using germfree/ gnotobiotic models; (2) mucosal vaccinology; or (3) autoimmunity.

The successful candidate should have significant publications in high impact journals and be poised to develop a full-time, independently supported career in oral health research.  Forsyth offers new, state of the art research facilities, equipment and support. The recruitment package will include start-up costs and technical assistance. The position is available immediately.
