Current Positions:
The Department of Molecular Genetics at The Forsyth Institute is looking for a Post Doctoral Fellow to study the interrelationship between biofilm development and the pathogenicity of the oral anaerobe, Porphyromonas gingivalis. We are located along the Charles River in Cambridge, MA in close proximity to MIT and affiliated with Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in microbiology, training in microbial genetics, and experience in molecular analysis of bacterial biofilms. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the growth of anaerobic bacteria and/or knowledge regarding the role of nucleoid associated proteins in chromosome structure and regulation of gene expression.
