Current Research Studies Screening for Volunteers
The Research Clinic is seeking research volunteers for a study of oral hygiene products. These studies require a screening appointment to see if you qualify. You must be 18 years or older and have gingivitis.

Health Weight Study
We ask for children between the ages of 8 ½ -11 years to be part of this study.
If you have a child between these ages, please ask your child if he or she would like to do this.
- Your child will receive $100 for coming for a 1 hour appointment.
- WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
- We will examine your child’s teeth and mouth.
- We will measure your child’s height, weight and waist.
- We will take your child’s blood pressure.
- We will ask your child to give us about 1 ½ teaspoons of saliva by drooling into a plastic tube.
- A trained blood technician will take about 2 teaspoons of blood from a vein in your child’s arm.
- After the saliva and blood have been collected, we will give your child snacks and drinks.
- Your child will participate in a step test to look at physical fitness.
- At the end, your child will fill out a fun computer survey about what he eats and drinks.
