Forsyth appoints Diane MacDonald Chief Operating Officer

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., December 2 —  Forsyth today announced that Diane MacDonald has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position at the Institute. In this role, she will oversee core administrative functions at the world-leading oral health research organization.  MacDonald most recently led financial and administrative operations at the Broad Institute as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

MacDonald will be responsible for developing, leading and promoting the efficient and effective delivery of operational, administrative and governance arrangements for the Forsyth Institute. She has a breadth of finance and operations experience spanning her 27 year career in nonprofit, higher education and government settings. In her tenure at the Broad, she was responsible for establishing financial planning and operations for the organization. In addition to her work with the Broad Institute, MacDonald has held leadership positions with the Whitehead Institute/MIT Center for Genome Research, Health Care for All & Community Catalyst, and the City of Boston.
