My work focuses on Cutibacterium (formerly Propionibacterium) acnes, which is a common member of human nasal and skin microbiota. My goal is to develop genetic approaches for this bacterium, which is implicated in health and in the common skin disorder acne vulgaris, in order to expand our understanding of the roles it plays in the complex network of human microbiota.
